Welcome to Front Runner Tipping brought to you by Racing South Australia, a platform for horse racing enthusiasts to test their knowledge and predictive skills throughout Autumn racing at Morphettville.
Game Rules
Correctly predict the outcome of a set of races each Raceday for your chance to win some great prizes!
Test your skill in our Horse Racing contests and compete against other players to earn the most points. Each Raceday will be a contest comprised of all scheduled races at the events on the dates scheduled below. You must pick the horse you think will win each race in a given Raceday.
Participation is free, and there will be an opportunity to win prizes each week.
How to Enter
You must be over 18 to play Front Runner Tipping. To enter simply create an account by clicking Register Now on the login page and complete the registration process.
Each Raceday is free to enter, and you can view each Raceday on the My Tips page, including past, current, and future Racedays. Simply click ‘Enter Tips’ to enter the contest and start making your selections.
Entering Tips
Each contest will take place during a Raceday, as per the schedule below. For each race, enter your tip from the options provided.
You can amend your answers up until the scheduled start time of each race. Horse Racing contests will open approximately 48 hours prior to the first race, when acceptances come in.
Scoring Points
Build up your points tally by selecting your answers. Answers for each question are worth a set number of points. The point values are based on the corresponding fixed odds starting price (x100) for your selected pick as displayed on the Sportsbet website. The greater the odds, the more points your pick is worth. As the odds of each race are liable to change, the final value points for each contest will not be known until the start of the race.
Points are awarded to each player throughout each contest, with leaderxboards being updated shortly after.
Points are awarded for both Win and Place, similar to how an “each way” bet is paid out.
If a winning horse is picked, points will be awarded for both Win and Place, as per the fixed odds starting price.
If the horse picked gets a placing, then points will be awarded for Place only.
If the horse picked does not win or place, then no points will be awarded. The adjudication of horse Win and Place will be as per results on the Sportsbet website.
If you forget to make picks for one or more races in a given Race Day, you will receive no points.
If the horse you pick gets scratched, you will receive no points.
When there is a dead heat in a race, both horses will be deemed as winners and points will be awarded accordingly.
Potential Points
Potential Points are the aggregated number of points you can earn in a Raceday with your current picks. Your potential points in a Raceday may update as a result of changing your picks, or odds fluctuating in the lead up to an event.
